Company / About
CoolTek is an engineering-focused company built around advanced composites, specialized manufacturing, thermal characterization, and the difficult first articles that sit between concept and production.
Company: CoolTek LLC is organized as a limited liability company in the State of Indiana, USA.
The starting point is the technical problem—not a catalog process.
We connect materials, geometry, manufacturing, interfaces, and verification so that the proposed solution can actually be built and evaluated. Engagements can begin with an early concept, an existing design that needs refinement, a one-off part, or a material-performance question.
CoolTek is particularly suited to R&D and low-volume programs where engineering judgment and iteration matter more than production scale.
Why CoolTek was formed
CoolTek was formed to make advanced composite, thermal-management, precision-mechanics, and prototype-development expertise accessible to customers who need a practical engineering solution rather than a research collaboration alone.
The technical heritage comes in part from years of work in the Jung Research Group at Purdue University on lightweight detector structures, cooling concepts, composite materials, precision integration, and hardware for demanding scientific environments. CoolTek is a separate company created to translate that experience into customer-focused engineering, manufacturing, and characterization services.
Examples shown in this section were developed through the Jung Research Group at Purdue University and illustrate the technical R&D heritage that motivated the formation of CoolTek. They are not presented as CoolTek customer deliverables, and their inclusion does not imply Purdue University endorsement of CoolTek.
Academic collaboration
For selected R&D challenges that require deeper experimental, materials, thermal, detector-mechanics, or computational expertise, CoolTek can collaborate with the Jung Research Group at Purdue University through formal, project-specific arrangements.
CoolTek and Purdue University are independent entities. Any Purdue participation is subject to a separate agreement and applicable University policies. Purdue's name is used here only to identify the research group; it does not imply University endorsement of CoolTek.
Leadership
For an early-stage engineering company, customers should know who is responsible for technical direction, delivery, and financial stewardship.
Leads company strategy, customer-facing technical programs, and the translation of advanced materials, thermal, and scientific-instrumentation experience into engineering solutions.
Leads day-to-day technical execution, project engineering, prototyping, manufacturing implementation, and the transition from engineering concepts to buildable hardware.
Leads financial operations, contracting, planning, and the administrative infrastructure needed to execute customer and R&D programs.
CoolTek was founded by Andreas Jung, Ben Denos, and Silke Jung. Leadership roles reflect each founder's primary area of responsibility as the company grows.
