01 / Composites
Composite manufacturing
Custom laminates, panels, shells, bonded structures, heat spreaders, inserts, and tailored layups for one-off and low-volume applications.
Explore composites →Advanced engineering · specialized manufacturing
CoolTek turns unusual engineering requirements into buildable hardware—specializing in advanced composite structures, prototype and low-volume fabrication, thermal characterization, and engineering support where standard production routes stop making sense.
Capabilities
CoolTek works between research, prototyping, and specialized manufacturing—especially where custom materials, unusual geometry, challenging environments, or small quantities make conventional suppliers inefficient.

Explore composites →02 / Prototypes
Fast-turn development for parts and assemblies whose geometry, materials, or process requirements need more engineering attention than a production job shop typically provides.
Explore engineering →03 / Thermal
Three-direction conductivity characterization for anisotropic composites and heat spreaders, from engineering screening through uncertainty-aware research-grade analysis.
Explore thermal services →Research heritage behind CoolTek
CoolTek was formed to translate specialized engineering experience in advanced composites, thermal management, precision structures, and scientific instrumentation into customer-focused engineering and manufacturing services.
From research to engineering services
This lightweight composite support structure is representative of the scale, integration complexity, and environmental requirements encountered in advanced detector systems. Experience of this kind helped motivate the formation of CoolTek.
Examples shown in this section were developed through the Jung Research Group at Purdue University and illustrate the technical R&D heritage that motivated the formation of CoolTek. They are not presented as CoolTek customer deliverables, and their inclusion does not imply Purdue University endorsement of CoolTek.
View research heritage →Challenging environments
Some applications are difficult because the operating environment changes what a “good” structure looks like. CoolTek develops material and structural concepts with constraints such as radiation exposure, vacuum, thermal cycling, low mass, dimensional stability, and limited service access in view.
That makes the same engineering approach relevant to high-radiation scientific instrumentation, accelerator environments, aerospace and space hardware, and other systems in which material selection, interfaces, thermal transport, and manufacturing details cannot be separated.
Project-specific environmental qualification or certification is defined separately and is not implied by general design experience.
Research-grade depth for the toughest cases
Most projects are handled directly by CoolTek. For selected R&D challenges requiring deeper experimental, materials, thermal, detector-mechanics, or computational expertise, CoolTek can collaborate with the Jung Research Group at Purdue University through formal, project-specific arrangements.
CoolTek and Purdue University are independent entities. Any Purdue participation is subject to a separate project-specific agreement and applicable University policies. Reference to Purdue does not imply University endorsement of CoolTek.
Relationships & credentials
Selected registrations and project relationships are identified by their actual status.
CoolTek is registered in CERN's procurement system. Registration does not imply a current CERN contract or endorsement.
